HOFSTRA MEN JUMP TO NO. 19 IN NATIONAL POLLS

Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra University men’s soccer team, owners of an 11-1-1 record and an nine-game unbeaten streak (8-0-1) made a big jump in the the latest national rankings.

The Pride moved into the top 25 of the United Soccer Coaches Poll at No. 19 after receiving votes for the last several weeks. In the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25 Poll, the Pride come in at No. 20 and moved up two spots from last week. In the College Soccer News Top 30 Poll, Hofstra is No. 28 after receiving votes in the past two polls.

Hofstra returns to the United Soccer CCoaches Top 25 for the first time since 2015 when it was ranked as high as No. 14. 

In the latest NCAA RPI report, Hofstra is No. 15 and remains the top-rated Colonial Athletic Association team in the rankings.

In the United Soccer Coaches Regional Rankings, Hofstra moved up one to the top spot in the Atlantic Region Poll, flip-flopping with James Madison. The CAA has five teams ranked in the regional poll with Hofstra at No. 1, James Madison at No. 2, UNCW at No. 3, Northeastern at No. 4, and Elon at No. 9.
