HOFSTRA WOMEN RANKED NO. 25 IN NATIONAL POLLS

Hempstead, N.Y. – Following a tough 0-1-1 weekend for the Pride, Hofstra is now ranked No. 25 in the United Soccer Coaches Weekly poll for the week ending October 19, 2021. This is the seventh-straight week that Hofstra makes an appearance in the national rankings. In addition, Hofstra is 23rd in the NCAA Division I RPI.
 
Despite being held scoreless this past weekend, Hofstra (12-2-1, 4-1-1 CAA) continues to rank inside the top-25 nationally in a surplus of statistical categories, including points per game (24th), total goals (23rd), and total points (20th). Senior forward Miri Taylor continues to be among one of the nation’s top offensive players, as she is still tied for first nationally with 35 points this season.
 
Defensively, goalkeeper Skylar Kuzmich moves up to sixth nationally with a 0.463 goals against average and has the second-highest number of shutouts in the country with eight.
